The Madison
Named after the former pastor, the transformation of 217 16th Street NE from church to residential community is one of our most unique projects to date. All of the beautiful features of this under-utilized church structure were maintained, while the functional spaces were modernized and expanded. The finished product is nine condominium units; two one bedroom units, two three bedroom units, and five two bedroom units. The common space is housed in the old church spire, so that all unit owners experience the predominant feature. Stained glass windows were re-purposed and the front unit has a double-height living space to preserve the rose and arched windows. Six of the units have rooftop decks and/or balconies. There are communal outside spaces along the entrance walkway and a rear yard patio for social gathering.
